Dear QTelecom Customers,

Due to the damage on telecommunications infrastructure from Tropical Cyclone Debbie a Mass service Disruption has been declared for the impacted areas. Due to this there will be some disruption for new connections and fault handling.

QTelecom apologises to affected customers.

At this stage resumption of normal operations is expected no earlier than 7 May 2017.

Services encompassed in this exemption are in the area bounded by and including, but is not limited to, the area starting at Cungulla following the coastline south past Bowen, Mackay, Sarina and Yeppoon to Port Alma. From Port Alma the area heads southwest to Raglan, west to Oakey Creek, then northwest past Jellinbah, Tieri and Lowestoff to Wolfang. The area turns southwest past the Blair Athol State Forest to the Cudmore National Park, north to Laglan and then northeast to Mount Coolon. From Mount Coolon the area heads north to Dalbeg, northwest to Majors Creek then northeast back to Cungulla. All suburbs and towns, off shore islands and coastal areas serviced within these boundaries are encompassed in this exemption.
