As of December 1st 2016, Telstra will be shutting off the older 2G mobile network across Australia.  This will prevent all 2G SIM cards and devices (and certain 3G devices on the 2100 band) from connecting to the Telstra network.

While most users will be unaffected by this switch off,  some services may be affected due to the device being used.

QTelecom is contacting impacted customers to advise of the impending shutdown

We suggest that if the service is still required you update your hardware as soon as possible to a device that is 3G capable or better.  If the information we have is incorrect and you have a different (newer) device already, you will probably not be affected by the 2G switch off.

If you would like to find a replacement device we suggest you try ebay.com.au or uniquemobiles.com.au.

Please  be aware that the December 1st cut off will not be extended.

If you require further information please contact us on 1300 857 863 Option 1
